SURFIN DUDE
$50.00 |
Murphy, 07 - 36" La 7" dor.dip. Bicolor lavender and reddish-purple. Fertile, good grower This lavender and reddish purple bicolor has a purple eye and a chartreuse throat on well branched scapes with good bud count. It has an unusual look, and attracts attention from far away, like it's sibling, OCEAN SPIRIT. It is sort of that crazy relative that we all have on one side of the family, a little bit different, hence the name. Fertile, good grower, out of (Grey Witch x Magic of Oz) x Loch Ness Monster. This plant has proven to be an excellent bud builder, staying in bloom until frost. On hot days, the throat area of the sepals turns a cream color. I have never seen this on another daylily. Generally, petals and sepals fade equally in the sun. |

Smooth, clear lavender and creamy lavender bitone with a dark lavender eye, chartreuse throat, and green heart. This is the narrowest of the siblings, but did not make the 4:1 spider ratio. It is large, graceful, and tall, and has a very long bloom season. Three branches, 26 buds, instant rebloom, vigorous growth, and good foliage, makes this a winning daylily. It is fragrant, has extended bloom, and has sturdy scapes holding graceful blooms. Parentage: RADIANT MOONBEAM X MOUNTAIN TOP EXPERIENCE |

Murphy, '04 - 37" Mre 7.5" semi.dip.frag. Complex lavender bitone, yellow midribs, rouge eye, green heart. Murphy, '06 - 42" Em 8" dor. Dip. Brilliant cherry red spider, green throat, cream edge. 7/1! Ratio This brilliant, clear, cherry red very narrow spider has been a wonder here. It measures at least a 7/1 spider ratio, rare in this color range. It is quite sun tolerant, sun-proof up to around 93F at 7PM. During hot days, it has a narrow white edge. The scapes are strong, and well branched, with lots of sometimes overlapping blooms. Reminds me of fireworks, and it does bloom here on the fourth of July. With dormant foliage, and an easy cool morning opener, unlike most reds, it also appears to be very cold hardy. 3 way branching, 32 buds. Pollen fertile. Cherry red with cream edge above green throat Parentage: Red Rain x Seedling more info |
