Murphy, 07 - 37" Vla 5.5" dor. Dip. Extremely late clear pink, cream edge, ruffled and creped

Truly a breakthrough plant. Clear Pink, and starts blooming as late as any cultivar that I know of. It will bloom alone in most gardens, in late August, September, and October. Clear Pink, cream edge, ruffled and creped, with a rounded recurved form, sometimes triangular. Four branches and 21 buds, held perfectly above the foliage on strong scapes. Out of AFTER AWHILE CROCODILE by SUE ROTHBAUER. Very fertile, excellent parent for very lates.

Yes, I admit it, another yellow cascade. This one has some big merits. Clearest lemon, with very green throat, ruffles, EMO, Extended. It has excellent 4 way branching, with 22 buds on strong scapes. Very fragrant, very close to a spider at 3.9875/1. Fertile, out of SUNNY SON by SPIDER MIRACLE. Good grower.

Murphy, 08 - 40" EM 7" sev. Dip. Veined reddish lavender white midrib, cream edge

Finally a nice cultivar from Lola Branham and Skinwalker, a nearly impossible cross! This large lavender to reddish lavender bloom is complicated, with heavy veining, striking white midrib, cream edge, purple band, and chartreuse throat. It can be a UF, or a spider on some blooms, but is not registered as either. Always different, and always good. Fertile, sometimes Ethereal ( hence the name) .

Murphy, 07 - 39" MRe 6" dor. Dip. Spider - Cherry red, cream edge

I am very proud to introduce this cultivar. It is cherry red with a tan edge in the morning, and as the day gets hot, the midribs and edge bleach to a striking cream. The bloom remains very sunfast, with a chartreuse throat. I registered it with 2 branches and 12 buds, but this fall, it rebloomed with up to 4 branches and 25 buds. The third image is on a cold day in October. It is related to Candy Cane Dreams, and a sibling to several of my light edged reds. Good grower, fertile.

Murphy, 07 - 36" La 7" dor.dip. Bicolor lavender and reddish-purple. Fertile, good grower

This lavender and reddish purple bicolor has a purple eye and a chartreuse throat on well branched scapes with good bud count. It has an unusual look, and attracts attention from far away, like it's sibling, OCEAN SPIRIT. It is sort of that crazy relative that we all have on one side of the family, a little bit different, hence the name. Fertile, good grower, out of (Grey Witch x Magic of Oz) x Loch Ness Monster. This plant has proven to be an excellent bud builder, staying in bloom until frost. On hot days, the throat area of the sepals turns a cream color. I have never seen this on another daylily. Generally, petals and sepals fade equally in the sun.

Murphy, 07 - 51" Late 7" dor.dip. Very tall purple with dark purple eye, 5-way branching

Quite tall, and just under the wire for very tall. Gorgeous purple, with lighter purple sepals, and purple eye, with yellow and green throat. Once established, this plant is a forest of scapes and branches. It has 5 way branching, and 38 buds, on very sturdy scapes. Vigorous, fast grower out of GREY WITCH by HELGA BJORNERUD BURKEY. Fertile. Excellent parent for branching and bud count.
