Murphy, 08 - 40" EM 7" sev. Dip. Veined reddish lavender white midrib, cream edge

Finally a nice cultivar from Lola Branham and Skinwalker, a nearly impossible cross! This large lavender to reddish lavender bloom is complicated, with heavy veining, striking white midrib, cream edge, purple band, and chartreuse throat. It can be a UF, or a spider on some blooms, but is not registered as either. Always different, and always good. Fertile, sometimes Ethereal ( hence the name) .

Murphy, '05 - 38" Mla 6.5" dor.dip. Outrageous clear lemon, radical UF, green throat. This has proven perfectly hardy in both zones 3 and 9 ( west). One of my favorites because it is always perfect, every day, with excellent budcount and growth. Out of SUNNY SON by SPIDER MIRACLE. Fertile, proliferates, fragrant.

This outrageous clear light yellow to chartreuse flower is a radically shaped crispate unusual form. It is quite variable as well. It has a large grass green throat with very ruffled, lighter edged petals. The sepals are so rolled that you can't see the edge. It has three branches and 17 buds, with instant rebloom, for a long season. It proliferates heavily. It is dormant, and has famous parentage, carrying genes for ruffled edges, red, chartreuse, and yellow, ensuring that it will be in demand by hybridizers.

Murphy, '06 - 49" Vla 7.5" dor.dip. Spider. Yellow pink blend, bitone, lav. Edged sepals Late.

There are not many bitone spiders with yellow-to-pink petals and yellow-to-lavender edged sepals. Actually, this is the only one, to my knowledge. Very late dormant diploid, huge waxy green throat. Tall at 49", very fragrant, and diamond-dusted. Base color is a yellow-pink blend with stippled pink and lavender color on ruffled edges. 4.89:1 spider ratio, fertile both ways. One or two branches, 16 buds, some rebloom.

Parentage: (Benziger seedling "Racing Stripes" x Yabba Dabba Doo) x Lola Branham

Murphy, '04 - 46" Mre 7" dor. Tet. Dark velvety red, yellow throat, green heart. Sunfast

My first tet introduction was the best of the keepers from a long cross. It won Best Seedling at the 2001 NCDC Flower show on its maiden bloom. It has dark velvety red, with a yellow throat and a green heart, complemented by a small ruffled blackish red edge. It has 2 or 3 branches, and 16 buds in poor culture, and up to 5 way branching and 32 buds in great culture. It is extremely sunfast, like its mom. It is red in the morning and red at night, hence the name. Very fertile both ways. I am using it to breed with narrower evergreen tets to give hardiness and sunfast color.
