WIDE EYE BAYOU
$25.00 |
Murphy, '04 - 37" Mre 7.5" semi.dip.frag. Complex lavender bitone, yellow midribs, rouge eye, green heart. This gorgeous pinkish lavender bitone with huge rouge eye was named for a beautiful race horse from the Virginia horse country. This complex flower has lavender petals, light lavender sepals, a large yellow throat, green heart, yellow midribs, and huge rouge eyezone. The fragrant flowers are spidery, with a 3.33:1 ratio, and sometimes unusual form, but it is not registered as either. The scapes are strong and slender, carrying 2 branches and 17 buds in average culture. The blooms hover well above the beautiful foliage and are striking. Growth is vigorous, bloom is extended, and it is completely sunfast. Parentage: RADIANT MOONBEAM X MOUNTAIN TOP EXPERIENCE |

WIRED
Display Only |
Murphy, '06 - 42" Em 8" dor. Dip. Brilliant cherry red spider, green throat, cream edge. 7/1! Ratio This brilliant, clear, cherry red very narrow spider has been a wonder here. It measures at least a 7/1 spider ratio, rare in this color range. It is quite sun tolerant, sun-proof up to around 93F at 7PM. During hot days, it has a narrow white edge. The scapes are strong, and well branched, with lots of sometimes overlapping blooms. Reminds me of fireworks, and it does bloom here on the fourth of July. With dormant foliage, and an easy cool morning opener, unlike most reds, it also appears to be very cold hardy. 3 way branching, 32 buds. Pollen fertile. Cherry red with cream edge above green throat Parentage: Red Rain x Seedling more info |
