SANTAS PANTS

I am very proud to introduce this cultivar. It is cherry red with a tan edge in the morning, and as the day gets hot, the midribs and edge bleach to a striking cream. The bloom remains very sunfast, with a chartreuse throat. I registered it with 2 branches and 12 buds, but this fall, it rebloomed with up to 4 branches and 25 buds. The third image is on a cold day in October. It is related to Candy Cane Dreams, and a sibling to several of my light edged reds. Good grower, fertile, multiple fans.
