Murphy, '06 - 42" Em 8" dor. Dip. Brilliant cherry red spider, green throat, cream edge. 7/1! Ratio
This brilliant, clear, cherry red very narrow spider has been a wonder here. It measures at least a 7/1 spider ratio, rare in this color range. It is quite sun tolerant, sun-proof up to around 93F at 7PM. During hot days, it has a narrow white edge. The scapes are strong, and well branched, with lots of sometimes overlapping blooms. Reminds me of fireworks, and it does bloom here on the fourth of July. With dormant foliage, and an easy cool morning opener, unlike most reds, it also appears to be very cold hardy. 3 way branching, 32 buds. Pollen fertile.
